A comment on the bathroom signs: While the Hebrew word translated 'women' is nashim, which simply means women, the Hebrew word translated as 'men' is giburim, which means not simply 'men' but rather 'mighty men'. It seems that not only do they wear ties but they are also mighty. And the women, so it seems, indicate some lack of might by wearing bomb helmets. Otherwise they might be called 'mighty women', yes?
Graduated LU with a B.S. in Religion and a minor in Biblical Greek. This blog is about my trip to Israel. I will study for 3 weeks at Jerusalem University College taking a Geographic and Historical settings course. After that...I will travel the countryside for two months.
